Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Pandem app and pandem.app (“Pandem”, “we”). By creating an account or using Pandem you agree to them.

1. Pandem is a game

Pandem is a social sports prediction game played entirely with virtual balances. Virtual balances and winnings have no monetary value: they cannot be purchased, deposited, cashed out, exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for anything. Pandem is not a gambling service, accepts no wagers, and pays no prizes. Odds shown in the game reflect real sports markets but no real bet is ever placed on your behalf.

2. No real-money side-betting

Pandem is played with virtual balances only. You must not use Pandem to organise, record, or settle any arrangement involving real money, prizes, or anything of value, including entry fees, side bets, or prize pots based on Pandem results. We may suspend or end any group we reasonably believe is being used this way.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Pandem. By using Pandem you confirm that you are 18 or over.

4. Your account

You sign in with a supported provider (Apple, Google, or Discord). You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in provider secure. You can delete your account at any time. See account deletion.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Pandem is free to play. If we offer optional paid features or subscriptions, purchases are made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and billing is handled by the store you bought through, under its own terms. A subscription is cancelled in your store account settings, not inside Pandem: deleting your Pandem account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled through the store’s refund process, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. Purchases unlock features of the service; they never buy virtual balance, and virtual balances and winnings remain without monetary value as set out in section 1.

6. Groups and hosts

Play happens in groups. Group hosts can invite and remove members, adjust members’ virtual balances, and disband the group. Joining a group shares your in-group profile and game activity with its members. Virtual balances exist within a group and may be adjusted or reset as part of running it; because they have no monetary value, no adjustment creates any entitlement or loss.

7. Conduct

Keep it a game between friends. You must not:

• use display names or group names that are offensive, hateful, or impersonate others;
• harass or abuse other members;
• exploit bugs, use automation, or otherwise cheat;
• attempt to access accounts, groups, or systems you are not authorised to access.

Hosts may remove members from their groups, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Records of removals are kept so that bans hold.

8. Odds and sports data

Match schedules, odds, and results come from third-party sports data providers and are provided for game purposes only, as-is. They may contain errors or change without notice, and nothing in Pandem is betting advice or an inducement to gamble.

9. Availability

Pandem is provided as-is and as-available. We may change, interrupt, or discontinue features or the service itself. Where a settlement or balance error occurs, we may correct it. Corrections affect only virtual balances.

10. Intellectual property

Pandem’s software, design, and content belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for playing the game. Team, competition, and player names remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify real-world events.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pandem is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amounts you have paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continuing to use Pandem after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

14. Who we are

Pandem is operated by Pandem Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17376991, whose registered office is at 40 Tierney Road, London, England, SW2 4QS. These terms are an agreement between you and Pandem Ltd.
